  • Valuable meetings with potential new members and Proficiency Test participants reinforced Measnet’s growing international reach and visibility across the wind energy sector.
  • Participating for the first time as an official supporting association, Measnet strengthened ties with members, partners, and decision-makers from across the global renewable energy value chain.

Madrid, 28 September 2026.- From valuable discussions with potential new members to reunions with long-standing colleagues and partners, WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 has proved to be an outstanding opportunity for Measnet to further strengthen and expand its network within the international wind energy community. Members of the Executive Board, including Monika Krämer (Chairwoman) and Íñigo López (Treasurer), together with Carolina Prada (Communications and Secretariat), attended as visitors to represent the organization.

This year’s edition was particularly special for Measnet, as it participated for the first time as an official supporting association of WindEnergy Hamburg, following the partnership agreement signed earlier this year with Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.

Throughout the exhibition, the Measnet team held numerous meetings with organizations interested in joining the network and learning more about the association’s activities and upcoming Proficiency Tests (PTs). The event also provided an excellent opportunity to meet with many Measnet members exhibiting at the fair, reconnect with industry colleagues, and exchange views on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of wind energy.

A particularly enjoyable moment was the invitation extended to Measnet representatives to attend the official welcome reception held at the stunning International Maritime Museum Hamburg, where industry leaders and stakeholders from around the world gathered ahead of the exhibition.

A leading meeting point for the wind energy sector

According to the organisers, WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 attracted more than 40,000 visitors from over 100 countries and featured more than 1,600 exhibiting companies from around 40 countries. With its strong international attendance, extensive conference programme and focus on collaboration across the entire value chain, the event once again confirmed its status as one of the world’s leading meeting points for the wind energy sector.

Commenting on the event, Íñigo López, Treasurer of Measnet, said:

“WindEnergy Hamburg is an essential event for Measnet, since it brings together a high concentration of decision-makers, technical experts, laboratories, manufacturers, and other key stakeholders from across the global wind energy value chain. The quality of the conversations we had throughout the week was outstanding, and the strong interest shown in our organization confirms the value of the work Measnet is doing to support quality and consistency in wind energy measurements worldwide.”

Measnet would like to thank all members, partners, and industry professionals who took the time to meet with the team during the event.
