This ExG unites ISO 17025 accredited laboratories to ensure consistent, high-quality, and comparable evaluation of site-specific wind conditions.

Aligned with IECRE standards, the group develops and maintains what is internationally recognized as the most complete and widely accepted procedure for wind resource assessment.

Coordinator

Daniel Ortiz

Coordinator of the Measnet Site-Assessment Expert Group since 2018, he was re-elected for this position in 2023. He contributes his expertise to the development of procedures and proficiency testing programs.

Experienced Project Manager and Wind Resource Assessment expert with over 20 years of expertise in the wind energy sector.

Director of the Wind Resource Assessment Department at Barlovento Applus+, where he leads the coordination of department members and oversees the technical and quality supervision of projects, with a particular focus on wind energy, including comprehensive technical due diligence for diverse renewable energy projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Zaragoza and MBA in Project Management.

He actively participates in international organizations such as IEC.
