How to become a Measnet Member
(1) This is required for each competence area that the candidate wishes to join.
(2) Estimated timeline for a totally new joiner, from the moment when the Measnet Secretariat receives the application form
and all required documents. The specified period could differ according to the candidate's characteristics. It may also vary
due to unforeseen circumstances.
Types of Membership
Full members:
Those approved for the competence areas of Power Performance or Loads, OR for at least two other Measnet areas.
They are entitled to two votes on the Council of Members.
Associated members:
Those approved for at least one of the Measnet competence areas (other than Power Performance or Loads.)
They have one vote on the Council of Members.
Assessment
- The technical assessment required to become a Measnet member will be developed according to the Measnet Applicant Assessment Procedure (AAP.)
- A separate assessment will be carried out for each of the competence areas the candidate wishes to join.
- The assessment fees and timing vary depending on the case of the candidate. Contact us for further information.
AAP scope:
- Check against the latest proficiency testing performed in Measnet for that competence area.
- Check of a measurement report.
- Visit of the premises of the applicant (only if considered necessary by the assessment team.)
Assessment performance
The Expert Group Coordinator of each area of competence is responsible for executing the AAP, under the supervision of the Measnet Executive Board.
