Power Performance

The Power Performance Expert Group aims to achieve harmonized and consistent implementation of all technical procedures related to the power performance of electricity producing wind turbines.

Main areas of activity

Coordinator

Kostas Papadopoulos

Member of the Power Performance Expert Group since 2016. He was first elected as Coordinator in 2023 and re-elected for the position in 2025.

His involvement in Measnet dates back to its founding period, when he served as Vice Chairman.

Technical Coordinator of the Measnet 20pp01 Proficiency Test on Power Performance under IECRE rules.

Physicist with an MSc and PhD in Atmospheric Physics and more than 35 years of experience in wind energy services and R&D, including wind measurements, power performance testing, load and power quality measurements, and energy yield assessments.

Technical Director of Wind Energy Applications & Studies at IWE – International Wind Engineering.

Member of the MT12, MT50 and MT15 expert teams within the IEC 61400-21 Working Group TC 88.

Author of more than 20 contributions to specialized magazines.
